Hmmm..nothing for me yet... I'm OOP.

My 2 year's only 88%, but I'm hoping that'll be enough...:\

I have family in Saskatoon, so I'd really like a shot there!!

Nothing here yet either

My 2-year average is 92.2%, I hope I hear from them.

I hope a requirement or course equivalency doesn't screw me over like it did at UofM :\

Arrgh... I've got a bad feeling about this.

I just spoke with another person who got an OOP email invite to UofS and her 2 best year percentage is lower than mine.

I'm thinking course equivalency might have screwed me over again. :\

Unless... they're not done sending out OOP email invites?! But if there's only ~30, it's not like it would take a long time to send out ~30 emails.

Sigh.

A friend of mine got the invite today...he has a 4.0GPA and is OOP...what is the cutoff for acceptance (0.76*GPA(in percentage)+Interview Score(out of 24)=)

Hmmm... I think she meant the actual letters via snail mail. But in previous years, OOPs invited for an interview are supposed to receive an email as well before receiving a letter in the mail.

------------------------------------------------------

Actually, just spoke with Heather. I missed the OOP cutoff by 0.15% !!!!

Cutoff this year is 90.45%.

My 2 best years are 90.30%.

Guess I was using the wrong conversion table that's been posted around here all along.

Really disappointing.

I got mine by email yesterday at 1:59pm. I'm out of province in Ontario and my 2 year average was 90.6%. I was relieved since I'm getting rejected in my own province.

Geekpunk, sorry to hear about your close call. Believe me, I've felt the wrath of cutoffs many times (this year and last year). I understand how frustrating it can be. Important thing is to keep on grinding. Keep the fire alive!

I received an interview...

4.0 GPA

OOP

Do any of my fellow interviewees want to talk about the interview for Saskatchewan? I'll start a thread about this...

I'm in-province living in Cgy and got my invite on Monday. I must say I'm impressed that the College is holding a reception night March 18th. This is new, eh? It'll sure be nice to relax and chat with some current med students, especially on the stressful weekend.

Anybody know how many are being interviewed this weekend? Both for in and oop's?

Good luck to all who received invites!

geekpunk (or anyone else):

I was wondering how the grade conversion between GPA and percentage works for UofS. Could you give me a general idea?

Thanks,

BB

BB:

I don't know if this is what you need, but this is the alphanumeric conversion I was given:

A = 93%

A- = 84%

B+ = 78%

B = 75%

B- = 72%

C+ = 68%

C = 65%

C- = 62%

Hope it helps!
