Hi folks,

I just got a reply regarding #'s on the OOP waitlist and thought I would share.

"There is approximately 20 on the out of province waitlist.

We cannot provide more details or speculate the odds at this time as we are awaiting responses back from offered applicants. We will have a better idea of waitlist movement by mid-June."

Just to get this straight. There are two wait-lists. One for OOP students and one for in-province students? If this is the case, when a person who received an OOP offer rejects it, is the offer then made to the next person on the OOP waitlist or to the next person on the overall waitlist?

Also wanted to know if anyone had any stats on the chances of getting in if you are a BC resident on the wait list and how many people are generally on the wait list.

Cheers,

IA

Hi there,

That's right: UBC has two waitlists, one for OOP and one for BC applicants. As soon as a spot opens up on either list, the next highest ranked applicant on the list is offered the spot. That's what happened to me last year. :)

Cheers,

Kirsteen
