Does this rule exist?

I heard that if the GPA of your term 2 courses is 5% below your overall then even if you are offered admission they won't let you in??

 

Not that I'll get in this year but just wondering coz I aint doing so great this term...:(

I'm not entirely sure of the percentage but I think there is an average that you have to maintain once you've been offered a spot. i.e. you can't completely bomb your finals because you were accepted into med.

I am not quite sure of the specifics though!:rolleyes

Hello,

 

There was some provision on the acceptance letter like that. That was 2 years ago for me, but I remember worrying over it for like 5 sec.

 

Anyway, from what I remember, I think if your OVERALL average (all your grades from 1st year to your grades this year) is > 5% than what you applied with, then they "reconsider" your file. Because I remember thinking that I really had to bomb 3rd year to lower my overall average by that much.
