Guest Koomi
Hey all I noticed this topic in the general board but I wanted something more specific to BC. Is there a discount for med students for ICBC insurance as well?
Guest 604EL
Personally, I'm not aware of any icbc discounts for students.
Guest Jochi1543
On a related note, I've heard horror stories about how expensive insurance is in BC, where can I get a quote online? (out of Canada now) I googled and googled it, but no insurance websites had any quote options.:x
Guest Koomi
oh boo... Jochi, I checked the ICBC website (http://www.icbc.com) and it says that you have to visit an autoplan broker. yes...it's expensive...sigh.
Guest Jochi1543
Could you do me a favor later and PM me with your basic stats when your purchase insurance? Like, how much experience driving, etc. I can't decide whether to sell my car before moving to BC or to take it with me, and if the insurance is obscenely high, I'll just sell it. Right now I've had my license for a little over 1 year, female in the 18-25 age group, no accidents, and liability for me is $120 USD, so I guess about $150 CAD.|I I'm trying to get an idea of what I'd pay in BC. Do they require you to get full coverage or can you opt for liability only? Thanks.
