Guest smooth operater
For those of you who did a biochem major at UBC, was it really difficult for you to find a "research opportunity/volunteer position" with a professor during the summer since there are many biochem honor students out there? To be honest, my primary goal of volunteering in lab or doing research is to get to know some professors who can write me good letter of reference while learning more about research comes in second. I kinda expect what research life is like and have no intention pursuing research at least for now. Do you think it is a good motive? Is there other means that I can get to know professors on more personal level other than being the keen ones and bugging him/her during office hour? Thanks!
