Guest sachin
I was reading the SDN message board, and it seems that a lot of the u.s people have recieved there scores through there pre-med advisor.....that is, the advisor's had the score before the actual writers did, and, in fact, before the entire state. I was wondering if anyone here in Canada has had this occur also??? p.s. what is a pre med advisor?
Guest Uche
In the states each school has a person (premedical advisor) or persons (premedical committee) that give info on medical school stuff and write reference letters for medical school applicant. Think of it as a guidance counselor for premeds :-) We don't have that in Canada.
Guest arcticaguy
Actually Uche, I do know of a few schools in the maritimes that do have these advisors and they do infact receive the scores before the actual examinees. Unfortunately, mine went in to retirement last year and I wasn't sure if he had been replaced by the time I wrote the MCATs :-( Hanging on, arcticaguy
