Length of Clerkships

Do all schools have the same length clerkship? I'm a bit confused that some schools start later (eg: Queen's), others end earlier (eg: UWO), and some seem to go the entire 3rd and 4th year (eg: U of T). NOMS representatives have indicated that they are planning for students to still get a 2-month summer between third and forth year. What is the difference?
