Quebec 'Match' and exams

Bonjour tout le monde!

 

I've decided that I will most likely be writing the Quebec exams in order to apply for a residency spot at one of the Quebec universities and I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the application process and exam...

 

I heard that you apply to each school individually in Quebec- is this correct? If so, when are applications sent and when do the results come out? When is the exam taken, what is it called, and how similar is it to the MCCQE?

<pagetext>Dr. Patch Adams was in Quebec City last week and i was lucky enough to attend two of his talks. The first one he gave to a room of future docs/nurses (we were merely 200 or so, it was awesome!!) and the second one was in a gigantic theatre-mind you, my friends and I scored first row seats

 

His talk was extremely inspiring and powerful. He is however as extreme as they get, he came in w/ some pants that can turn into a skirt which subsequently becomes some kind of bag and a froggy dress shirt. He pulled out a whoopee cushion on stage and also played w/ plastic poo. He is an extraordinary speaker. The passion that he has for medicine and curing/helping people emanates from him. For those of you that saw the movie, Robin Williams really downplayed his character, he is so much more than that in real life.

 

We were so lucky, we got pictures w/ him, got him to write me a prescription (Spread Joy through peace and chase your dreams). All in all to say, if you can organize yourself to get him to come speak at your school, i highly recommend it! (Ha, so many people were like...why Quebec City?!...we are NOT so lost after all!)
