Guest manharde398
I am going to first year under graduate. I am lacking confidence and cannot concentrate in study (whole bunch of other depression related symptoms too…). I think I have severe depression and need antidepressant. If I get a prescription from doctor it will go to my medical record. Does user of antidepressant drugs stands a chance to getting in to MED School? Guest UWOMED2005
Heck, it wouldn't surprised me if 25% of med students were on antidepressants! Seriously - nothing in your medical record will hurt your chances of getting into med school.
Guest medeng
I don't think a med school could get access to your medical records when you are applying, but regardless, check out this link The number on anti-depressants may not be as high as 25%, but the number suffering from some form of depression sure is! Guest aneliz
You do not need to submit medical records for med school applications... nor do they have access to them... and could not legally use your medical information to make decisions about your application anyway (or your financial information, religious background, etc) ... that's called discrimination.
