Guest CASTLECASCADE
Hai, I don't plan to take physics during my first year in the undergrad. But i might change my mind if it is helpful for MCAT. Is it actually advantageous to take a first year physics course(for MCAT or anything else)? Or would all the MCAT physics will be taught in the preparation course or books etc? And ofcourse, i need to take the prep course. Right? Or will the first year physics will be enough for MCAT physics? No idea, guys.
Guest moo
Some schools in Canada require physics. Most (99%) in the US require physics. It's to your advantage to take it.
Guest Madz25
MCAT physics is at the same level as high school physics. First year physics is calculus-based and there is no calculus on the MCAT. The level of difficulty is the same as that of high school. The prep courses/books are usually cover the material well enough for the MCAT. I agree with moo though, taking 1st yr physics is a good idea if you don't want to limit yourself to certain schools since many require it as a prerequisite. Guest CASTLECASCADE
Oh. I get the point. Taking physics gives me a broader range of choice and hence a better chance...Thanks.
