Students at the University of British Columbia are starting an undergraduate course in the basic principles of medicine. First term topics include cardiovascular medicine, pharmacology, endocrinology and hematology. At the present time, we are recruiting foreign or domestic trained medical doctors to act as tutors for the course. Classes are evenings twice a week for two hours each. Tutors will be responsible for assisting students in the various topics in a group-based format. Furthermore, tutors are also responsible for instructing students in learning physical assessments.
