Guest satsumargirl
Hello I have a few questions for anyone out there who has some answers. 1) Can someone compare/contrast psychiatry vs. neurology in a broad sense (population seen, approach to Tx etc)? I know psychiatry is more the "mind"...but do both assess things like memory? mood? cognition? etc... 2) I really enjoy working with dementia pts ...both neurologists and psychiatrists can see pts with dementia. So I ask the same question as above, but this time difference between neurology and psychiatry specifically related to dementia. 3) I have not been able to figure out what exactly a psychogeriatrician is....is it a geriatrician that specialised in psych OR is it a psychiatrist who specialized is geriatrics (ie a geriatric psychiatrist). At my old work pts were often sent to a psychogeriatrician to dx dementia. Thanks
