Accepted/Rejected/Waitlisted??? (for current applicants)

Okay, I meant that you know what the good, reputable schools are anyway. Do you really care if the school you want to attend slipped down 5 spots in the US News ranking? It helps to know the "tier" of your school, but the exact numbering is meaningless.

ya i suppose i just need to get those financial forms in but CDN taxes are due next week and my family is meeting the accountant this week so i wont know until later. I heard that every student is getting a minimum 2000 scholarship which is awesome ... how was second look btw?

Second look was....amazing. Vandy really went all out for us. Also meeting everyone was great...I think Vanderbilt has the most down to earth students of all the top 20s I visited.

Only deciding between Columbia and Vanderbilt...and I didn't see anything at Columbia that I think would be worth $40K a year more.

 

Still technically undecided though since P&S is ranked a bit higher...it's in NY, etc. stuff I have to think about.

i have a 9 in verbal and thus received no love in ontario. good thing i am from alberta

haha, OK I will re-post my Dartmouth story then. yup, I'm on the waitlist. I sent in a letter and then, in Type A pre-med fashion, called the secretary to see if it was received. Instead of checking herself, she transferred me to the Director of Admissions... but I had nothing to say to him. I don't know how to play the American game. I'm toast.

Yeah you're right -- you don't have to indicate whether or not you want to remain on the waitlist until "late in the Spring". I had some updates, and they said you could send those along anytime. I was just being enthusiastic

AECOM was a cool school although the facilities were getting old. the housing is so affordable though! THe faculty i spoke to were so down to earth though.

 

also so close to NYC!!
