Guest Jazz
If not, I haven't received any AMCAS # and my application is in "active" status, is that normal? Thanks.
Guest dahlia777
I guess AMCAS is the organization that facilitates your application, whereas AAMC handles MCAT stuff. Still, they use same AAMC ID number for each applicant. If you're not sure what your ID# is, just email them with your name/birthdate..etc.
Guest Kirsteen
Hi there, "AAMC" and "AMCAS ID" are terms that are often used interchangeably. They both refer to the identification number that you are allotted when you begin an AMCAS electronic application. (I believe AAMC (American Association of Medical Colleges) is a big umbrella under which AMCAS (American Medical College Application Service) and the MCAT sits, hence the reason all organizations are accessible from the AAMC webpage.) Cheers, Kirsteen
