<pagetext>Upon speaking to Admissions regarding another matter, I inquired about the seat situation.

 

Yes the Board of Governors has Approved the increase to 125

in april.

 

Yes the School has the space to accomadate the increase.

 

However they have to recruit addtional Dr.'s to deal with the increase (preceptors etc./ groups) and the School has have the additional spending within their on departments figured out. Apparently getting the Dr.'s is quite diffiicult due to everyone being so busy due to not enough doctors in the province,(ironic isn't it).

 

All of the above takes time and it is unlikely that this will all fall into place quick enough for August 2005 but definitly 2006 entrance should be 125 barring unforseen circumstances.

 

So if you have a religon/spiritual belief system and are waitlisted, I suggest you send all your energy via thoughts and prayers toward the UofC, cause you never know...Miracles do happen!!!

 

As for me, even though in waitlisted hell, I'm starting to plan my vacation for August to B.C. and I won't mind one bit if I have to end up cancelling it! LOL

 

Good luck everyone on the waitlist. Oh yeah they said not much will happen waitlist wise until the end of the official 15 working days they give for people to formally accept or reject and other schools offers are all out.so basically throughout the month of June and into July.

Yes, I also spoke with the admissions office this week and the Class of 2008 will definitely be about the size as ours, which is approx 100.

 

Hang in there, as I know more than a few people who had to change their plans for August at the very LAST minute.
