Blake
This thread would be better titled ''what's with the million registration forms we have to fill ?''. I'm planning some surgery electives and I need some help. Any help will be greatly appreciated 1) Ottawa (not my school) asks me to fill an immunization form. The problem is this part I just read today : '' Deadline for submission to the Faculty of Medicine is: Undergraduate: August 1st ; Post Graduate: Prior to any clinical activity. '' http://www.medicine.uottawa.ca/electives/pdf/immunization_record.pdf Since I'm in 3rd year, I guess I'm considered a student of an undergraduate program. Does that mean I'm already too late and I can't apply to any electives there for march 2007 ? 2) Ottawa again, this time it's the special student registration form. They're asking me for my student number. Do I put in my med school student number ? And they've got some weird cases that I absolutely have no idea how to fill (frankly, it's getting ridiculous). Anyone else applied there as a visiting med student ? I definitely need help with some of this... http://www.medicine.uottawa.ca/electives/pdf/VMS%20Elective%20Registration%20Form%20-%20Special%20Student.pdf My school isn't much help with anything regarding electives planning outside of Sherbrooke. This, coupled to the fact we only have 2 electives, all done between january and march of 3rd year, makes me think I should have started applying in 2nd year. On the other hand, mcgill application forms are much simpler. The only thing bothering me is they're asking me for my resume which, in my case, consists of being a med student and that's it. Ground-breaking, I know...
Blake
I emailed Ottawa electives coordinator and she pretty much answered all my questions. That undergraduate deadline for the immunization form still looks fishy though.
