juicyprunes
Hey guys, It's only been two weeks and already I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the material that we have to learn. Though I have a fairly strong background in biochemistry and physical sciences, I haven't taken ANY anatomy, physiology, or cell biology and at times, I feel that even the introductory material assumes a pretty sound foundation in those fields. Does anyone have any tips in terms of learning what is necessary or good resources for "catching up" on the basics? Thanks!!!
Kirsteen
Hey there, Many folks enter medical school not having tackled much or any anatomy, at least. What might reduce your anxiety and increase your confidence is getting on top of the material now. For the anatomy, a book like Clinically Oriented Anatomy might be good for you as it provides supporting text and information relative to the anatomic structures. As for cell biology and physiology, any good MCAT preparation book should give you a handle on the basics. Cheers, Kirsteen
