48-sketch? do you have to have 48

im not sure if i really do fully understand what this is. but from what i know we have to fill out a 48 slots with activities that we took part in throughout university. what if we dont have 48 things to enter. in my (second year student) i only have volunteering experience at a hospital, im part of a 'raising money for cancer' club in which i take part of avidely. i also train in MMA (mixed martial arts). so this all takes up quit a bit of time.

 

so how else am i suppost to fill the 48 slots..

I didn't fill up the 48-item sketch either. I don't think it is necessary to have to fill it up.

its for the OMSAS application where you list your formal education, extracurriculars, volunteering, awards, anything else you think would help give a picture of who you are.

For the sketch there is no necessity to fill all 48 lines. Many other folk have succeeded in gaining entry to Ontario medical schools without doing so. So don't fret if your activities and accomplishments don't fill all 48 lines.

so many people get in without having a packed 48 sketch. if you've got quality, it will shine through.

Hey,

 

Everyone is different- some people who got in had their entire 48 item sketch filled in (ie: myself) whereas some people didn't have all 48 entries filled (and still got in as well). It's all a matter of individuality, keeping in mind that quality is definitely better than quantity!
