Interview books/websites

Hi,

Can anyone refer me to any good books or websites that will help me with my interviewing skills? I know there is another thread on this but most of the books listed there were ethics-related. I was hoping to find some tips on how to give a good interview, practice questions with sample answers, etc. Pls let me know if you have any info on this. THanks.

Websites:

http://www.studentdoctor.net/interview/interview_read.asp

Books:

I found a fairly decent chapter on interview prep "Essays that will get you into medical school" ...I borrowed the book from the public library. I wouldnt suggest purchasing it for interview purposes.

There's another book published by Princeton Review...I can't remember exactly what it was called..something like "Top 150 medical schools" or something like that...it also had a chapter on interview prep.

I suggest you take a look at the websites and see what kind of questions schools ask and take it from there. There is no magic way of conducting an interview that will get you in. Just be yourself and do the best you can!

Hope this helps.

Also many schools offer interviewing sessions through their student development department or whatever each school calls it. UBC certainly has interview help, I have heard of others that will even video record you and then help you analyze it.

Definately something to check into!
