What is the definition of a "full-year non science cour

Hi everyone,

 

I was looking over the western website and it mentions that you must take three full year or equivalent non-science courses. Does this mean you have to take three courses over an entire year period (i.e english, music, art) OR could you have taken say, art and history in one year, philosophy and music in another year etc...to make up 6 half course credit?

Would these 6 half credits be equal to three full year credits?

I hope this is not too confusing...any help is GREATLY appreciated
