I wish someone would explain the logic of sending invitations by email and rejections by snailmail? That's alot of stamps to pay for for no apparent reason.. plus it adds another week or so before the inevitable is known.... There is much that is illogical about this whole UfT process... And rejection letters might be by regular mail because they aren't so time-dependent? personally, I liked my rejection by mcmaster and ubc much more than my rejection by ottawa. mcmaster even used fancy paper for mine. it's just so considerate... at least 60 cents of the gagillion dollar application fee I paid came straight back to me.
