Atomic_Kitten85
Hi, I was wondering if there is a minimum required average one would have to achieve in the last semester to keep the offer of admission? Thanks!
miss_sunshine
there is no clear answer to that. I was wondering the same thing at this exact same time last year. I asked the admissions office and they said that my gpa had to remain at around the same level as it was when the offer of admission was given to me. My interpretation of that was that it shouldn't drop dramatically but since i was in my last year and taking advanced classes, I knew that there was a chance that my grades wouldn't be all straight A's. Do your best because you don't know if you are admitted yet (unless you are OOP/international) and in case you don't get in, you will need good grades if you reapply next year. Atomic_Kitten85
Thanks miss sunshine! I asked them today and they said that the bare minimum once you're admitted is 3.5 but clearly it should be above that. I guess I am in the similar situation as you were last year, taking advance experimental med courses and hoping to get at least A- in them. miss_sunshine
ya, i think it's rare that they will take away your acceptance. i heard someone mention that they knew a person who didn't do well their med-p year and was not able to start med-1 but I don't know that person nor the circumstances
Atomic_Kitten85
Well that's a relief to know, since I've been neglecting schoolwork with all these interviews...
