about UBC application

Can anyone tell me what we have to do for UBC application, plz? I know I have to submit my school transcript, reference letters, and DAT grades. But during the application, is there a space given to list out my shadowing experiences? Or do I write them together with extracurricular activities? I have done a lot of shadowings from a general dentist, orthodontist, periodontist, prosthodontist, endodontist, and MF surgeon. But I was wondering if all these will be included as extracurricular activites or something else..... Thank you everyone!

I think the application is pretty self-explanatory. Have you tried looking through it first?

I've been trying But since their online application is closed and they don't have any paper application forms available, I don't think its possible right now.

Then don't worry about it. They should be releasing the application in June I believe.

Don't worry about any of this stuff right now. You will have plenty of time to look over it in the summer. The application is quite wordy and long, but I wouldn't focus on it too much.

 

I would for sure put somewhere in the application that you have worked with all those specialists. However, I wouldn't put it as extracurricular activity. Put like hobbies, sports etc. in extracurricular. I think of extracurricular as being something you do outside school, on a regular basis. (Unless you go shadow these dentists and specialists every second day after classes).

 

PS. if you apply next year, use one or two of those shadowed dentist to write you a reference letter. Since you have done so much, it will look good.
