dracore
I am currently taking Ryerson's Continuing Education courses to complete the pre-reqs needed at US institutions. I can see that 2 semesters of physics is required. However at Ryerson, there are no courses called "Physics I" and "Physics II" (Actually there are Physics I and II courses but they are only diploma credit rather than degree) What I do see from the Ryerson site are the following: # CKPS 115 — Physics I (diploma credit) # CKPS 215 — Physics II (diploma credit) # CPCS 110 — Physics # CPCS 119 — Physics for the Life Sciences I # CPCS 125 — Physics: Waves and Fields # CPCS 181 — Introduction to Astronomy # CPCS 211 — Physics: Mechanics # CPCS 213 — Physics: Sound, Light and Modern Physics # CPCS 219 — Physics for The Life Sciences II Anyone have any clue which 2 physics courses would be equivalent to Physics I and II? I'm thinking CPCS 110 (I) but I don't know about the second one... CPCS 125?? Thanks
ccoh
I would guess Physics for Life Sciences I & II. A number of universities have similarly titled physics courses.
dracore
I've thought about life sciences but I'm not too sure. The requirement is for "general physics". Any ideas what the difference between a life science course is v.s. a regular one?
ccoh
Physics for the Life Sciences was general physics when I took it at U of Guelph. I think if you were a physics or engineering major, there might be other physics courses to take.
