bibimbap
Is the first year class organizing a bulk purchase of stethoscopes this year? I will be attending med year 1 in Oz this year and would like to get a cheaper scope before I go(Littman Cardiology III). Is it possible for a non-UBC student to get in on the deal? Thanks! blinknoodle
This site has prices comparable to what Shoppers offered UWO students. It is a bit higher because the price includes the shipping fee. https://www.canadianmedstudents.com/products.php#stethoscopes

Poolboy
Bibimbap, the equipment night is tommorow night, and order forms for the bulk order are due on Friday - not sure if you need to be a UBC med to get in on it.
ubcredfox
Equipment costs in the US are MUCH cheaper than in Canada. Go to the University of Washington Health Sciences Book Store in Seattle, and get some awesome deals.

Go to the University of Washington Health Sciences Book Store in Seattle, and get some awesome deals. How much are we talking about, redfox? That link the other person posted has the Card. III for ~$150, which is not bad at all. I think UBC is selling it for $200+.
leviathan
Ebay is another good bet, as long as you make sure to buy a LITTMANN 3M Cardiology III, and not those replica stethoscopes people are marketing as the "Cardiology III". Poolboy
I got my Cardio III through UBC for $164 - this was through he group deal though. If you buy it at the MSAC your going to pay close to $200.
