Dante Posted September 23, 2007 Report Share Posted September 23, 2007 For ottawa's detailed abs entries, do you think it matters how you classify an activity you've taken part in? For example, I've been tutoring for a long time, but consider this activity an extracurricular engagement and not a volunteer activity. I've only put 3 entries under the volunteer section (although one has been a substantial time commitment in a hospital setting). I have a few more extracurricular activities such as clubs i've been involved in. Time wise, the volunteer and extracurriculars balance out well. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but do you think it matters how well rounded each section appears? Is it weird that i'm placing tutoring as an extracurricular? I just feel it's more of an enjoyable pastime of mine than an activity I take part in JUST for the sake of helping out (and yes i know volunteer activities are rewarding/enriching in their own right).
