Guest Jake
Hi all, Thanks-again for answering all my questions. I have another (don't worry I am sure this won't be the last ). Anyway, I took a 4.0 credit course at York U: SC BIOL 2040 4.00 Genetics How the heck do I put this in on the online form? It isn't a 1.0 but it isn't 1.5 either. So what do I do? Thanks-in-advance, Jake
Guest aneliz
A 4.0 credit course??? really?? This would mean that it was worth the equivalent of EIGHT normal semester courses... and 80% of your courseload that year was from one course.... Guest Jake
No. A half course at York is 3 credits and a full course is 6 credits. So a 4 credit course is a half course with an extra 1/3 of a half course credit. I know it is weird! So I can't figure-out how to put this on my app. Jake
Guest peachy
I'm pretty sure that I put 4.0 credit courses the same way that I put 3.0 credit courses, as a half-course, and that it was treated through the whole process as a 3.0 credit course. (With the exception that if someone had three 4.0 credit courses, they would be treated as if they had taken a full course-load that year). You could always email or call OMSAS for official confirmation, though.
Guest thecod
i believe what peachy said is correct. a 4-credit course at york is like a 3-credit course - unless you take three 4-credit courses.
