hi there,

I am interested of immigrants who apply to Medical School. I am permanent resident of Ontario and I come from europe.

Have I chances or no? Is there immigrants who are admitted?

Thank You

There are many people that have immigrated to Canada that apply and are successful. The only stipulation is that you have permanent resident status in Canada (citizenship or landed immigrant). If you do not have permanent status (refugee claimant, on a visa or minister's permit) you would not be able to apply.

Many people in my class were not born in Canada or did not grow up in Canada. We have people from all over: China, Kuwait, Korea, Hong Kong, Poland, England, United States, former USSR....

I think your chances will be as good as anyone else.... the only potential challenge I see is if English is not your first language, you will likely have to work a little bit harder on the VR section of the MCAT (if required for the schools you are interested in) and/or the written submissions that are part of your application.

Good Luck!
