Namtes
I was wondering how one can do some research during the summer at McGill. I'm pretty new at this stuff so I'm not sure of the procedure. Is there a website with applications or something? Any help would be appreciated. justletmein
Your best bet is to find a prof whose research interests you and approach them directly about a summer position. You can also check out this site: http://www.medicine.mcgill.ca/research/bursary/default.htm it has some good resources if you're not sure where to start. Ultrabithorax
You can also apply to be part of McGill's International Genetically Engineered Machine competition (iGEM). Look it up here: http://parts.mit.edu/igem07/index.php/Main_Page (look under the About tab) and check out the McGill 2007 wiki here: http://parts.mit.edu/igem07/index.php/McGill I did it for the past two years and it was lots of fun! You even get to travel to MIT to present the team's project in November. If you're interested send me a private message and i'll give you the contact of the person in charge. Cheers
