optimist
Hello, I am an Ontario medical student in my first year. I am interested in doing a summer elective in BC this summer, but I understand that UBC doesn't offer preclerkship electives...is this true? If so, can you think of any way I could get around that? I don't really have any physician contacts out there that I could pester to take me on for a couple of weeks. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks, Meg
Nephets
UBC offers electives to medical students "in the final two years of their program". So, if you go to Mac (or UofC) you can do a pre-clerkship elective once you are promoted to second year. I don't know a way around this rule but others might. Sorry I can't be more help! N.
