Am I even a candidate?

I am applying next year and would REALLY like to go to Ottawa.

 

I have:

 

- 3.75 wgpa undergrad (I am an ottawa resident)

- am doing a m.sc in biology- will have gone to 1 conference and maybe have 1 publication

- have volunteer experience teaching math to disabled children (4 years), volunteered to build school in africa (2 weeks), volunteer at hospital (1 year), volunteered writing student newspaper at school (2 years)

- played varsity soccer for 2 years in undergrad

 

I know it's kind of random whether you get an interview or not, but can anyone give me some basic feedback as to if this looks like the sketch of someone who might have a chance at ottawa?

Your GPA meets the ottawa area cutoff, particularly since you're a master's student.

 

The only thing that an applicant can be sure of with med school is that they DON'T meet the cutoffs. You aren't in that situation, so you're in the same uncertain boat as everyone else!

whats the cutoff for a resident of southern ontario?
