Hello, I have question: I know that the cut-off is 34 r-score...but if someone has an overall of 36-37 in science courses...but not 34 overall. Do you think they are still going to look at his letters and CV?

thank you

how do you know your r-score for just your science courses?? the r score is given for all your courses every taken.... so they would consider that and not just the science courses.

Well, they probably still have a chance with an overall of 33.5+, but anything under there is pretty much not going to be considered.

The faculty at McGill claims they look at everyone's autobiographical letters, CV and reference letters and that everyone has a chance. But, the same admissions people have said that anyone who hasn't taken a full course load during cegep and who doesn't have 33.5+ will pretty much be rejected unless you have a insanely impressive background

a little harder.

I'd compare 33,5 to a 3,6gpa

It happens.

The year I graduated, the girl who finished first out of the entire school and got the governor general's award did not get an interview.

Unfair? Definitely.

Avoidable? Impossible. McGill med is strange.
