daryn
I figure we would need a thread for us. So, when would the waitlist realistically start to move? May 29 or sooner?

kiwi
lostintime, my bet is that this is just a mistake. Nobody else has mentioned anything about receiving a rejection. I hope you get some good news tomorrow
lostintime
Aw, thanks guys, but I'm super busy tomorrow and I don't think a couple of days is going to change anything at this point. I'm gonna just wait it out until Wednesday or Thursday until I get the letter mail. I doubt both could have been "mistakes" =P But I'll keep you guys updated by Wed/Thurs! If you didn't get a notice from any of the universities.. could it be a problem with your email account? Did you get any mail at all? Good luck
The Law
lost - I think this is just a mistake. Mistakes are indeed possible, if others didn't receive anything - believe me, you'd know. There were over 500 people on the forums today, you can't possibly be the only one who didn't get an email today - unless there was an error. Just try calling sometime during your break tomorrow! PhoenixFlare500
I'm banking on U of M now so I can worry less about the waitlist... I just wish I knew how far down the list I was.

lostintime
Alright, I'll e-mail them then. I suppose some final closure isn't a bad thing. I didn't get anything from UWO, but no one got anything from UWO. And my e-mail is fine...I tested it by sending with my other e-mail account. RightHandMan
I am just curious... where do we get the date May 29th from? Is it historically the case that everyone will know by May 29th if they will move up from the waiting list? Thanks..
KMG007
I am just curious... where do we get the date May 29th from? Is it historically the case that everyone will know by May 29th if they will move up from the waiting list? Thanks.. Last year, Queens sent some waitlisters spots then. I'm hoping I hear something by June 5th when I leave for Indonesia...my parents are freaking out about how to accept on my behalf. Granted, I might be buried in the list so far it doesn't matter. Olu
May 29th is the date that the offers that were sent yesterday expire. So most of the initial 100 or whomever who received offers will have responded by May 29th, so Queens will know then how many waitlisters they can begin offering positions to
kaysersoze
hey guys do you think the wording in the emails has anything to do with chances of moving up...or is it just a standard email
daryn
Were there different versions of the email?

The Law
Hmm, I think they don't want anyone to know their position at all - so I"m pretty sure it's generic.
kaysersoze
did she tell you she'd be grateful if blah blah blah? at the end? that's the only thing my friend took as some sign when he read it i think it's jsut wishful thinking haha
daryn
Last sentence: If you accept an offer of admission at another schoolof medicine and no longer wish to be considered at Queen's, I would be grateful if you would let me know. kaysersoze
generic it is ....i absolutely hate the fact that i can be number 1 or number 399 or the list.....what is the logic behind not telling ppl their position? im curious
