ACHQ
I was curious as to how UBC calculates the % averages from the Alpha scale, so I emailed them with the following question: "Hi, I'm from McMaster University which uses scale 7 on the OMSAS conversion table. I would like to know how UBC medical school uses my alpha grades to obtain a % GPA, (e.g. do you convert each individual alpha grade to a percentage, and if so how?)" and got the following response: "We actually use the McMaster scale on the back of the transcript. We do not convert every grade, we just convert to a percentage at the end using tables provided to us by UBC's Enrollment Services."
