Sergem
Hi Guys, Stupid question: It says : Please provide no more than five (5) most significant awards received since senior-level secondary school. Does it mean awards received including Gr 12 or to only account for the ones after Gr. 12. I was thinking that since for OMSAS we can include activities since 16 years of age, which means that we can include activities we did when we were 16, that we can include Gr. 12 Scholarships for post-secondary education. Thanks in advance
liz001
The step-by-step help says: Awards (Academic) This section captures information about your academic awards at the senior secondary and post-secondary level. There is a limit of 5 awards. So I guess this includes gr. 12.
Jixe
I listed a significant academic award that I received during high-school graduation. Remember to put non-academic awards in NAQ.
kiwi
if we include awards in the 'other non-academic experiences' section, what do we say for # of hours?
liz001
if we include awards in the 'other non-academic experiences' section, what do we say for # of hours? from step-by-step help: Total number of hours by application deadline: * Enter number of hours. * If this field is not applicable to the entry (for instance, a non-academic award), please enter 0. But for actual activities, you must report hours in order for the file evaluator to make an assessment.
optimist786
is nserc an academic award? or employment? or 'research' in the non-academic Other section? sigh.
Jixe
is nserc an academic award? or employment? or 'research' in the non-academic Other section? sigh. Since it's merit-based, I put it under academic awards. Either way, they know what an NSERC USRA is, so they'll evaluate it correctly no matter what section you put it in.
