vaccinations

how does anyone feel about having "compulsory" vaccinations?

Do you any of you question it ?

Of course I am referring to health check and immunization as part of the admission process.

This is also the the "standard" with nursing applications and other health care(in Ontario )and I believe one other province.

 

There are no laws in Canada which mandate vaccination, other than rabies for animals, and even that is regional as per the disease occurence in various regions and up to the judgement and discretion of the vet.

 

 

 

Whether you are pro or against vaccination is not so much the issue as much as that as a med, nursing or healthcare student- the universities, colleges are in many instances saying these vaccinations are compulsory, when in fact they are not. The wording varies with the institution, some being more itimidating than others.

 

I don't know how long this has been the case or if it is a new trend. Trying to get the newbies done before they wise up :hat
