In any case, lots of people work during school and don't take MCAT courses or volunteer overseas. I'm one of those people. I don't think there was any unfairness in that respect at all. meme me Posted December 5, 2008 Report Share Posted December 5, 2008 my mother paid her way through school and still had a 4.0 GPA all 4 years of undergrad. You're mother also went to university at a time (I'm assuming she's anywheres between 40 and 60 years of age) when it costed a fraction of what it costs today, and when students were paid a hell of a lot more than they are today, relatively speaking.
