breaker
Hey everyone, I was just wondering what your school policy is on match day. Do you guys get the day off? Do you get half the day off? Is there any sort of lunch held for the students? And if you guys could tell me which schools you go to, that would be great. thanks a lot! Lactic Folly
UofA gave students the day off on match day. No faculty lunch, but the social committee put on an event.
noncestvrai
Last year, McGill had the idiotic idea of putting ethics small groups in the PM, I thought that was showing a lot of disrespect, especially to unmatched people. noncestvrai
ploughboy
It's supposed to be classes as usual at UWO, but I suspect a lot of people won't quite make it in to school that day. Addendum: UWO finishes clinical rotations in December, so there's none of this "going back to clinic" nonsense on match day.
mg83
Last year the clerks got a half day i think and met up in the student's lounge to write where they were going, etc on this big poster board. Most people did go back to work in the afternoon but some preceptors gave others the whole day off. I know that the morning is at least protected time or whatever.
