Writing Canadian DAT and American DAT??

Hey everyone,

 

I have taken the Canadian DAT this past november. I also want to try the American DAT soon.

 

My question is.... after taking both the American DAT and Canadian DAT, can I choose which score to send to American Dental Schools? For instance I might have done better in my Canadian DAT than American DAT. OR will they look at American DAT regardless?

well..im not so sure but the option of sending scores to any school rests upon you as long as they are the first scores in that particular testing but i maybe wrong.

This is what I was thinking. As a Canadian I send my application to the Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) and request my scores be sent from either the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) or American Dental Association? Given that I have written each test (USA and Canadian DAT) one time, I can choose which score the US schools will see, without them seeing both?

 

I would like to know if any Canadian applicants have done / heard of this being done?

you have to report both canadian and american scores in aadsas, but you can choose which official scores to be sent to schools unless you are specifically asked to. Case western told me to send cdat scores when I already sent them my american dat scores
