ZingMan
Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and have a question about OOP admissions stats for U of Ottawa. How many seats are avaliable for OOP applicants? The reason I'm asking is that I currently have interviews with Ottawa, Queens, and Western Ont., but I don't have a lot of money. Being from BC, the travel to get to Ontario is going to kill me financially so if there is a very slim chance of getting in (very few OOP seats) I might have to start rejecting interviews (I also have one from UBC, and I haven't heard from U of A or Dalhousie yet). P.S. I did try finding this info on their websites but I didn't have much luck! (I did find UBC's but that was it) Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Jerry-mon
hey buddy, there is no quota for OOP, they are just kinda mean to you because of GPA requirements, everyone's equal at interviews. With that said, there's probably 20/152 who are OOP. I'm from BC too, good luck!
ontariostudent
I think you'll find this site very very helpful. It contains statistics for ALL medical schools in Canada. It covers how many people applied and what percentage of the applicants (split into IP, OOP, international) were accepted. http://www.afmc.ca/pdf/2009AdBk.pdf
