Full course load?

Recommended Posts

I know that many dental schools want to see students take full course load and will likely penalize students who don't.

(I believe a "full" course load counts as 30 credits?)

But what if we take 28ish credits during winter and around 3-6 credits during the summer in summer school? Would that be frowned upon? How do they usually count the full course load? Are summer courses counted?

Thank you.

For U of Saskatchewan, its website clearly states that UofS requires full course load (30 credits) per academic year (Sept-Apr). So, according to the statement, 30 credits must be taken during the winter session.

Even so, I contacted the admission office to clarify whether summer course credits are counted towards the course load or not. Unfortunately, the admission office said the summer courses are NOT counted towards the course load for the year.

So, in case of UofS, '28ish credits +Summer credits' is not counted as full course load.

But it is from UofS, and IMO, different schools have different policies about it.
