lostintime Posted February 16, 2009 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 Even if it doesn't, I think it's a nice way to find common ground with your interviewers because most people follow current events and you can use it in your examples. I don't think you have to go all out but knowing a few stories here and there especially about the health care system can't hurt. I used the CBC (or was it BBC) health website and it was helpful. In my MUN interview I was asked what I thought the biggest health issue would be in ten years, followed by what I thought the biggest global issue would be in ten years. I think it's really just a way to see how socially aware or how realistic an applicants perspectives on things are.
