Guest 0t6 Posted July 7, 2002 Report Share Posted July 7, 2002 I noticed in the UBC forum that 3rd year med students at UBC get paid $500/month.. is there any type of payment at U of T? i'm just wondering because even though $500/mo is peanuts in relation to the # of hours one puts in during clerkship, it's still $6000 per year -a fairly significant sum in my opinion, especially since I'm estimating the total cost (including tuition + living) to be ~$30K per year for attending U of T. I heard that the reason that third year clerks at UBC get paid had something to do with insurance or something.
