Prothrombin Posted July 31, 2009 Report Share Posted July 31, 2009 I'm working with the Filipino-Canadian Leaders for Leaders in helping set up a youth achievement award for Filipino-Canadian residents of the Greater Ottawa Region. If you're of Filipino heritage or happen to know someone of filipino heritage that excels in either 1) Sports 2) Arts 3) Academics 4) Community Leadership I encourage you to apply, or let them know. So far we have received no applications and only have 15 interested individuals. There are four prizes of $500, and an award plaque. We've set up a blogspot.com website so far, which is http://www.filcanyouthaward.blogspot.com Deadline is Sept,15th, 2009 Just a note, i'm posting this because i know there are a few Ottawa residents here, and i'm positive that those competitive for med school could easily win the academics category as well as the community leadership category.
