juicyprunes
Is it kosher to attend a conference in the middle of an elective (i.e. have to miss 1 - 2 days)? especially if it's an out of province career elective? Any tips about how to minimize the damage/maximize face time (other than doing extra call)?
Lactic Folly
Is it a conference related to that same specialty?
chemgirl
I wouldn't do it if the elective is for two weeks in a specialty you are pursuing, and especially if you want to get a reference letter. If it is a month long elective, maybe. If it was related to the same specialty, maybe, only if my preceptor was attending as well so they would be away at the same time.
