Guest kapow44
Does anyone with a TV not have cable and only use their TV for picking up the over-the air (ie free) channels? I was thinking of taking a small TV over but can't afford cable right now. I figured even 1 or 2 channels is better than nothing though... Just wondering how many and which air channels are available in London. Cheers, Sam
Guest UWOMED2005
The med student lounge HAD a great TV with ++ cable/sattelite/whatever. I say HAD because they've upgraded the lounge with a better TV since I last saw it. If you had a particular show you wanted to watch, studying in one of the M-rooms and then catching that show is a great way to go. There always seemed to be a bunch of students around for Scrubs. . . Guest ZCH
On a standard TV, you'd pick up the New PL (London city TV affiliate) on channel 10 farily well, and global (03), CBC (40), and CFMT with fair to poor reception.
Guest blinknoodle
It definitely depends on your antenna, placement of your TV, etc. Right now, I am getting the A channel (the new PL), CTV, VisionTV, TVO, CityTV, CBC (French and English), CH, Omni. If I move my set around (into another room), I could get Global and NBC (but lose the majority of everything else).
