If you make the cutoffs...

Hi there,

 

Someone posted some (I think they were unofficial) numbers somewhere in this forum a few weeks ago. You might want to have a look for those. I believe, post-cut-off, an interview invitation boils down to the quality of your Ottawa sketch. (Please correct me if I'm totally up a gum tree on this one, Ottawa moderators.)

Two years ago there were 2039 applications and of these 465 candidates were interviewed.

 

Last year there were 2440 applicants and I can't find the number interviewed but it was similar to the number above.

 

Offers for Admission are given based on your application and GPA.

As far as I know, making the cutoff does NOT assure you an interview. As mentioned earlier, they also look at your autobiographical sketch.

I don't know the stats, but I do know two people who made the cutoffs and had (in my opinion) strong extracurriculars (both accepted to other Ontario medical schools) who did not get interviews at Ottawa.
