sgwonsukee
Hi! I am just wondering if there are any american medical schools which look at most recent years of GPA instead cGPA? I have a cGPA 3.62, and last two years as GPA 3.69 and 3.85. there are some canadian schools look at most recent years yet never heard if it is the case in USA. Just wondering I tried to research all schools each by each yet too many schools;; BTW, I am a canadian thus I apply as international.
joshto
no. they will look at every single course taken at a post-secondary institution.
rmorelan
Curious about this myself actually - I have heard some do look at increasing GPA trends though, is this correct?
joshto
I think they like to see upward trends, but who doesn't? I doubt they give it special consideration.

Yeah, most schools in Canada (Ottawa and Queens in one case are exceptions and they aren't really looking a trends, just taking the last X years) don't really seem to care at all it seems. It all cGPA or best of X years etc. Some one was jumping up and down about upward trends awhile ago for the US, but I haven't tracked down the thread yet.
