There is 122 names in the list but there is people from the CNFS and Military Program in that list as well therefore 135-122 equals to 13 spots. If the class size is the same as last year. There is still hope!!!

The people that I know that are in the francophone program are also in that list...so don't get too excited about the spots being full!

let's reformulate: what is the upfront financial load the ottawa university faculty of medicine asks from us ? (tuition, laptop, etc) ? please, do not include housing.

I accepted a position at U of O over a week ago, but I'm not on that list...it's possible that there are others in my position as well (though it's also possible that many spots remain in the class).

hey guys

 

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I e-mailed Nicole to see what was going on and this was my reply yesterday:

 

"There are only two offers that need to be returned to us. We expect

these to be firm acceptances and they should be returned to us by the

end of next week. We are now considering our class complete and in

fact

I was asked this afternoon to send the letters to all candidates

remaining on the wait list to inform them of this news. We hope to be

able to place the letters in the mail for the early morning pick-up

tomorrow."

 

So sorry to everyone else on the waiting list who did not get an offer. trust me, I feel your pain.

<pagetext>I received my PFO letter this morning, signed personally by my friend Dr. Richard L Hebert...ahhh, another cycle, another rejection :\

 

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted this year! You guys will make amazing docs. I truly envy you. I know you'll have a blast and I know you'll enjoy the program. From what I know of UofO's program from my wife and friends...it's an amazing program.

 

To all of you who have been rejected, especially those who are applying for the first time this year, don't be disheartened. Believe me, I know it's dissappointing...but there are lots of other things to do "out there." Take some time...reflect...and get back at it again for the next cycle! If you received an interview this year, you should pat yourself on the back...there were 2,447 applications to UofO this year and 518 of those were granted interviews...just having received an interview is an incredible feat with those kind of numbers.
