blending_in
Has anyone found that the real MCAT Physical Sciences section is much harder than the practice tests? The practice PS seems a bit too easy because I typically finish with 15-20 minutes to spare and other people seem to complain that they barely finished on the real thing. HBP
Usually a lot more careful on the real thing, takes more time.
Dr.Henderson
I usually finished with 15-20 mins on the practice tests, then I nearly ran out of time on the real thing and had to rush the last two passages:eek: Keep a close eye on your time
sgt.pepper
Same. I swear AAMC speeds up the timer during the test.
gb35
In my opinion, the practice tests are exactly reflective of the real thing. It's just that the conditions under which anyone practices are not reflective of the real thing. When you write the real deal, odds are you're going to be more stressed out, and that may make it seem tougher. Some people get a higher score on test day than they did while practicing because the added pressure makes them focus better, and some people do slightly worse on test day because nerves affected them a bit. I don't think the tests themselves are that different though... EDIT: On september 7th, when my score is released, odds are I'll be on here crying about how the practice tests didn't prepare me at all
changster
^ I get my score on the 7th too! Hopefully it will be the last time we write this god forsaken test... I really hope I could waste $250 dollars =)

I was so consistent with my science sections leading up to test day that I just feel like that's probably what I'll get... VR was erratic though... Dr.Henderson
but did u find the ps had more calculations? Way more calculations on the AAMC practice tests than on the real thing for me. I was kind of confused by that haha
LostLamb
Way more calculations on the AAMC practice tests than on the real thing for me. I was kind of confused by that haha that can only be a good thing...i hate doing calcs on the mcat, because I feel like I am wasting precious time for a single point.
